For a research group in the JRC in Ispra (https://ec.europa.eu/jrc/en/about/jrc-site/ispra), a new open position as external consultant is available.
We are looking for a skilled Java Developer, with experience in the design and development of multi-tier Java-based web applications.
In addition to the knowledge and skills implied by the role, he/she will have an in-depth working knowledge of:
- Javascript and possibly one modern front-end framework (preferably Angular or Kendo);
- Java Persistence API (JPA);
- Spring Framework.
The candidate will need to have working experience in JEE and micro-service architectures. Working experience on data modelling and physical database design will be an advantage.
The working language will be English, with Italian being an asset.
Other requirements
- Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline
- 9+ years of experience in IT
