DOPA supports the EU in the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development by improving the access to reference information for decision-making for the conservation of biodiversity and ecosystem services, with an emphasis on protected areas. It evaluates relevant indicators for Aichi Biodiversity Target 11 (Protected Areas) of the Convention on Biological Diversity, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals 14 (Life below Water) and 15 (Life on Land).
